We are so excited to announce that In September of 2022 we officially opened the doors to our second home. With the addition of our new home we are able to expand our programs and services to meet the community needs here in Burlington! We can now accommodate a total of 10 mother's and their precious babies. Our continued success has been made possible by the generosity of our amazing community supporters.

 TRIPLE MATCH = BIGGEST IMPACT TO DATE! Shifra Homes, a grassroots organization in Halton provides young mothers and mothers to-be with the support and resources they need not only throughout their pregnancies, but also to set them up for success beyond their stay at the home. The Shifra story and mission really hit home for our members. It's the first in our chapters HERstory that a Charity of Choice donation attracted three matches! Be sure to join us at the Q3 meeting this fall to hear all about the BIG impact this collective donation has made. THANK YOU for leading with your hearts... 1. First ever "Donation Dash" challenge - a one week race for membership donations that helped boost our overall collection from $7,250 to $8,250 ( +anonymous $1000 donation) to $9,250 2. A call to close the donation window, opened up a generous 100% match from nominating member Megan Hagarty Smith - $9,250 to $18,500 3. The Smith Family Foundation matched the 100WWCO membership total too - Bringing the 100WWCO grand total donation to $27,750   Congratulations to Nancy Romic the Executive Director of Shifra Homes for winning the 2022 YWCA Women of Distinction Community Leadership-Halton Award last week! Nancy is a champion of young women who are often marginalized and disenfranchised and is an advocate on several important social issues. Nancy works hard to fight for the protection of the most vulnerable members of our community, by providing support, and ensuring the success of these young mother's and babies.
