A place of new beginnings. "Shifra Homes has provided a safe haven where young women who are expecting a child can live without stress and fear... they provide hope and building blocks for putting together a new life with baby for these young mothers." -Jane McKenna, MPP.
We are excited to announce that our Executive Director Nancy Romic has been nominated for the YWCA Hamilton/Halton 2021 Women of Distinction Awards in the category of Community Champion and a Lifetime Achievement Award!

A Home Run For Shifra!
TRIPLE MATCH = BIGGEST IMPACT TO DATE! Shifra Homes, a grassroots organization in Halton provides young mothers and mothers to-be with the support and resources they need not only throughout their pregnancies, but also to set them up for success beyond their stay at the home. The Shifra story and mission really hit home for our members. It's the first in our chapters HERstory that a Charity of Choice donation attracted three matches! Be sure to join us at the Q3 meeting this fall to hear all about the BIG impact this collective donation has made.
